About this opportunity
The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications to provide capacity building for genomics research. The Centers for Genomics Research Capacity Building will support Genomic Research Centers at biomedical research institutions that award doctorate degrees in the health professions or the sciences related to health, and have received an average of less than $50 million per year in NIH support and less than $25 million per year of R01 total cost of NIH support for the past three fiscal years. Each award will support a multi-investigator, interdisciplinary team to develop 2-3 interrelated, innovative genomic research projects. Each project should address one or more critical issues in genomics including: genomic technology and methods development; genome structure; genome function; genomics of disease; use and impact of genomic information in clinical care; genomic data science and computational genomics; ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of genomic research; and/or genomics and health outcomes. Along with its scientific goals, the Centers should expand the pool of genomic scientists, clinician scientists, and researchers who can perform innovative genomics research by providing didactic, practicum and research activities and experiences that are aligned with the research projects. Applications are not being solicited at this time. Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. Investigators with expertise and insights into all aspects of genomics research are encouraged to begin to consider applying for this new NOFO. In addition, collaborative investigations combining expertise in genomics with expertise in computational science, epidemiology, functional studies, biology of disease, clinical care, ELSI, and implementation science will be encouraged, so these investigators should also begin considering applying for this application.

This notice announces the availability of funds and solicits applications from eligible entities to deliver Brownfields Job Training programs that recruit, train, and place local, unemployed, and underemployed residents with the skills needed to secure full-time employment in the environmental field. Brownfields Job Training Grants fund training programs that strengthen local workforces by preparing program graduates for environmental jobs that support cleanup and revitalization efforts in their own communities. Training may include a range of brownfield-related environmental skills such as the assessment and cleanup of solid and hazardous waste; chemical risk management; stormwater management relating to site cleanup; planning and site preparation for low-impact development activities; site preparation for green infrastructure installation; and vulnerability assessment and contamination mitigation planning. Summary: The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) Alzheimer’s Research Program (AZRP) Transforming Research Award (TrRA) supports non-incremental, robust, well-designed research that drives transformative advancements in reducing risk and preventing the development of Alzheimer’s disease and/or Alzheimer's disease related dementias (AD/ADRD). Distinctive Features: • Applications must address at least one of the following focus areas: ○ Risk Factor Knowledge: Research that advances understanding, identification, and/or validation of risk and/or protective factors, with research outcomes/products focused on accelerating solutions. BJA FY 2026 Local Law Enforcement Crime Gun Intelligence Center Integration Initiative

BJA FY 2026 Second Chance Act Family-Based Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program

This is a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the BJA FY 2026 Second Chance Act Family-Based Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. This opportunity will provide treatment and recovery support services to parents with substance use disorders (SUD) who have minor children or are pregnant and are under correctional control in a facility or community-based setting. State, local, and tribal governments and nonprofit organizations may apply for funding to provide family-based SUD treatment programs in jail, in prison, or as part of an alternative to incarceration to reduce recidivism and improve reentry and other related outcomes for the parent and for their children. State, local, and tribal governments must apply for funding under Category 1 and nonprofit organizations and faith-based organizations must apply for funding under Category 2.
