SOURCES SOUGHT/MARKET SURVEY 2022 AFRL/RW Partnership Intermediary Agreement (PIA) FA8651-22-S-0021 NAICS Code 541715 Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering and Life Science (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology) I. PURPOSE/BACKGROUND: AFRL/RWK, Eglin AFB is conducting a sources sought/market survey to gauge the interest in the various research topics associated with a future Partnership Intermediary Agreement (PIA) . The Government is seeking Partnership Intermediary Agreements (PIAs) with entities that facilitate joint projects and accelerate technology transfer between the lab and the commercial market. These intermediaries help companies to identify federal technologies that can be licensed and commercialized; and work to increase the likelihood of successful cooperative activities between the lab, small businesses, academia and industry. The PIAs Program goals are: · Transfer technology developed by/for AFRL into Commercial Markets. · Transition commercial and academic innovation for use within AFRL. · Foster partnerships between AFRL, industry, and academia. · Inspire and support the next generation of technology leaders in the United States. · Foster and support innovation both within and external to AFRL. The PIAs Objectives are: · Patent and intellectual property (IP) management-Assist with the development and execution of licenses and the development or management of patents and the broader IP portfolio · Technology and market research-conduct technology and market landscape or forecast studies to identify future directions for specific technologies, and provide broad situational awareness regarding the origins and development of a particular technology domain or industry. · Collaboration spaces and business incubation-Establish and/or manage physical and virtual spaces that serve as a collaborative environment to engage with non-DoD researchers and businesses. · Technology assessment activities- support organizations with technology demonstrations, showcases, industry days, design sprints, hackathons, workshops, and other events. · RDT&E collaboration activities-support organizations with the development, coordination, and problem-solving activities in support of RDT&E collaboration activities. · Prototyping and manufacturing capabilities facilitate development of prototypes, and advance DoD's manufacturing capabilities. · Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education outreach- The Partnership Intermediary will work with AFRL and regional/national educational entities to expose students to high-value Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) learning opportunities. The Partnership Intermediary shall leverage local, state, regional, and national efforts to enhance STEM programs, increasing proficiency in the fields most directly related to the AFRL mission. · SBIR and STTR support programs-support the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs by performing technology scouting to identify and recruit small businesses to those programs. · Regional economic development - Engage with other entities in the region, such as universities and regional economic development groups, State, local State or local government, or a nonprofit entities, etc., to build their networks and contributions to the Munitions Technology innovation ecosystems within AFRL. The goal of the Harold Rogers PDMP is to strengthen states’ and territories’ ability to maintain and enhance their existing PDMPs by accommodating local decision-making based on state laws and preferences and replicating promising practices. As part of supporting the enhancement of PDMPs, the Harold Rogers PDMP supports the integration of PDMP data with health information exchanges, electronic health records, or pharmacy dispensing systems, including engaging with tribal entities and rural areas where integration rates may be lower. This program helps to break the cycle of drug addiction and violence by reducing the demand, use, and the illegal trafficking of controlled substances.

This notice announces the availability of funds and solicits applications from eligible entities to deliver Brownfields Job Training programs that recruit, train, and place local, unemployed, and underemployed residents with the skills needed to secure full-time employment in the environmental field. Brownfields Job Training Grants fund training programs that strengthen local workforces by preparing program graduates for environmental jobs that support cleanup and revitalization efforts in their own communities. Training may include a range of brownfield-related environmental skills such as the assessment and cleanup of solid and hazardous waste; chemical risk management; stormwater management relating to site cleanup; planning and site preparation for low-impact development activities; site preparation for green infrastructure installation; and vulnerability assessment and contamination mitigation planning. Please carefully review Section 4.E. of these guidelines, Section IV of EPA NOFO Clauses, and the Frequently Asked Questions, which can be found at https://www.epa.gov/brownfields/frequently-asked-questions-about-brownfields-job-training-jt-grants. Summary: The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) Alzheimer’s Research Program (AZRP) Transforming Research Award (TrRA) supports non-incremental, robust, well-designed research that drives transformative advancements in reducing risk and preventing the development of Alzheimer’s disease and/or Alzheimer's disease related dementias (AD/ADRD). Distinctive Features: • Applications must address at least one of the following focus areas: ○ Risk Factor Knowledge: Research that advances understanding, identification, and/or validation of risk and/or protective factors, with research outcomes/products focused on accelerating solutions.
