About this opportunity

Program Description: EDA makes planning and local technical assistance investments to support economic development, foster job creation, and attract private investment in economically distressed areas of the United States. Under the Planning program, EDA makes Partnership Planning, Short-Term Planning, and State Planning awards to eligible recipients to create and implement regional economic development plans designed to build capacity and guide the economic prosperity and resiliency of an area or region. More specifically, EDA makes Partnership Planning investments to designated planning organizations (i.e., District Organizations) serving EDA-designated Economic Development Districts and to Indian Tribes to facilitate the development, implementation, revision, or replacement of Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies (CEDS), which articulate and prioritize the strategic economic goals of recipients’ respective regions. EDA also makes Short-Term and State Planning awards for economic development planning activities that guide the eventual creation and retention of high-quality jobs, particularly for the unemployed and underemployed in the Nation’s most economically distressed regions. Under the Local Technical Assistance program, EDA makes awards to strengthen the capacity of local or State organizations, institutions of higher education, and other eligible entities to undertake and promote effective economic development programs through projects such as feasibility studies, impact analyses, disaster resiliency plans, and project planning. *Please note: While the published Notice of Funding Opportunity (available under "Related Documents") states that the ED900A form and the SF424B form are both required for a complete application, these forms are no longer required and have therefore been removed from the package template.
Who can apply
Pursuant to section 3 of the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C. § 3122) (PWEDA) and EDA’s regulation at 13 C.F.R. § 300.3, the following types of entities are eligible to receive funding assistance from EDA: 1. District Organizations (as defined in 13 C.F.R. § 300.3); 2. Indian Tribes or a consortium of Indian Tribes; 3. States, cities, or other political subdivisions of a State, including a special purpose unit of a State or local government engaged in economic or infrastructure development activities, or a consortium of political subdivisions; 4. Institutions of higher education or a consortium of institutions of higher education; or 5. Public or private non-profit organizations or associations acting in cooperation with officials of a political subdivision of a State.

This notice announces the availability of funds and solicits applications from eligible entities to deliver Brownfields Job Training programs that recruit, train, and place local, unemployed, and underemployed residents with the skills needed to secure full-time employment in the environmental field. Brownfields Job Training Grants fund training programs that strengthen local workforces by preparing program graduates for environmental jobs that support cleanup and revitalization efforts in their own communities. Training may include a range of brownfield-related environmental skills such as the assessment and cleanup of solid and hazardous waste; chemical risk management; stormwater management relating to site cleanup; planning and site preparation for low-impact development activities; site preparation for green infrastructure installation; and vulnerability assessment and contamination mitigation planning. Summary: The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) Alzheimer’s Research Program (AZRP) Transforming Research Award (TrRA) supports non-incremental, robust, well-designed research that drives transformative advancements in reducing risk and preventing the development of Alzheimer’s disease and/or Alzheimer's disease related dementias (AD/ADRD). Distinctive Features: • Applications must address at least one of the following focus areas: ○ Risk Factor Knowledge: Research that advances understanding, identification, and/or validation of risk and/or protective factors, with research outcomes/products focused on accelerating solutions. Projects may include, but are not limited to, research on environmental, epigenetic, genetic, lifestyle, occupational, or other risks not listed here. ○ Risk Reduction Solutions: Research that describes methods, technologies, and strategies that contribute to reducing risk and preventing AD/ADRD. • Clinical research is allowed, however clinical trials and animal research are prohibited. • Preliminary data are required. • Community collaboration is required for research prospectively enrolling human subjects. • Career Initiation or Transition (CIT) Partnership Option: The TrRA includes an option for more than one PI and supports both new and existing collaborative partnerships. BJA FY 2026 Local Law Enforcement Crime Gun Intelligence Center Integration Initiative

This is a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the FY 2026 Local Law Enforcement Crime Gun Intelligence Center (CGIC) Integration Initiative. In collaboration with DOJ’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Local Law Enforcement Crime Gun Intelligence Center Integration Initiative supports law enforcement agencies to establish and expand CGICs to address firearm-related crime. BJA FY 2026 Second Chance Act Family-Based Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program

This is a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the BJA FY 2026 Second Chance Act Family-Based Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. This opportunity will provide treatment and recovery support services to parents with substance use disorders (SUD) who have minor children or are pregnant and are under correctional control in a facility or community-based setting. State, local, and tribal governments and nonprofit organizations may apply for funding to provide family-based SUD treatment programs in jail, in prison, or as part of an alternative to incarceration to reduce recidivism and improve reentry and other related outcomes for the parent and for their children. State, local, and tribal governments must apply for funding under Category 1 and nonprofit organizations and faith-based organizations must apply for funding under Category 2.
